US Indices registered another record close on Friday , as the economic recovery in the States continues to gain pace. By contrast, both China and the ECB are wrestling with how to respond to tough financial situations; the former has just cut its interest rates while the latter has now opted for increased asset buying.
In the meantime, the significant drop in the price of oil will undoubtedly be the primary topic of discussion at this week’s OPEC meeting, as some of the world’s top oil-producing companies gather together. Decreased demand from China along with a surge in US oil production have both played a part in the recent decline in the cost of crude.
