Copper is a primary industrial metal used mainly in construction (electrical and plumbing) and in equipment and appliances associated with building facilities. Copper is an excellent conductor of electricity and very resistant to corrosion so is a natural choice for various types of electrical and communications wiring and for piping water and gas.
Summary
The outlook for the next year remains volatile for the price of copper. Many negative and positive factors will continue to create a tug of war over the direction of the future price of copper. The curent decline in global economic growth is expected to continue for some time yet creating bearish sentiment, however low inventory levels and supply shocks combined with a weaker dollar continue to create a bullish market.
