Let’s see which news releases could move the currency markets on Thursday, the 23rd of February. This is the Dukascopy Economic Calendar.
The final version of German fourth quarter GDP is up first at 7 AM. The initial estimate puts the quarterly growth at point 4%, which is an improvement from the point 2% gain the previous quarter.
German GfK Consumer Confidence for March is out at the same time. The Index has been rising for the past 3 months and now stands at its highest level in 6 months.
Coming up next at 1:30 PM GMT are the closely watched US Jobless Claims. Initial claims went up by 5 thousand during the week ending February 11 whereas the continuing claims decreased by 3 thousand during the week ending February 4.
And US House Price Index for December will be available at 2. House prices grew more than expected in November, following a point 3% increase the previous month.
